    About these lists

For most of the 20th century, serious poker meant Texas road gamblers and Las Vegas card rooms. That changed in 2003, when amateur Chris Moneymaker won the WSOP Main Event after qualifying online. Millions of new players signed up to online poker sites, and within a few years Europe, Canada and Australia were producing champions of their own.

Each country page lists every player from that country, ranked by live tournament earnings. Players with dual nationality appear on both lists. A country list is indexed by search engines once it has at least five players; smaller lists stay available but are hidden from search until they grow.
