    About this list

Cary Katz leads this list with an estimated net worth of $500M, $42.1M in live earnings. Magnus Carlsen and Tobey Maguire complete the top three. Together, the 50 players on this list have won 143 WSOP bracelets and $1.6B in live tournament earnings.

Net worth is not the same as tournament earnings. Many of the richest people who play poker made their money in business, trading or investing, while some of the biggest tournament winners have spent or staked away much of what they won. Buy-ins, backing deals and taxes also mean that earnings figures overstate what players actually keep.

Net worth figures are estimates based on public reporting, interviews and known business interests. Where a range is reported, we use the lower end to rank players.
