Famous Poker Players by Background and Age
Poker is one of the few games where a 20-year-old online prodigy and a 70-year-old road gambler can sit at the same table. These lists highlight famous players by gender, heritage and age.
About these lists
The players who have shaped poker come from every background. Women such as Kristen Foxen and Vanessa Selbst have won multiple bracelets, Asian-American pros like Johnny Chan and Scotty Nguyen won the Main Event, and a new generation of players in their twenties is winning seven-figure scores.
Background lists are based on what is stated in each player's biography or nationality. Age lists use each player's current age and leave out players who have passed away.
