Alejandro Lococo biography
Before becoming one of poker's top players, Alejandro Lococo was already famous in the Spanish-speaking world as a freestyle rapper known as "Papo MC." Born in Mar del Plata, Argentina, he built a strong reputation in rap competitions and won the Red Bull Batalla de los Gallos Argentina title in 2016.
The skills he developed in freestyle battles, including quick thinking, reading opponents, and performing under pressure, helped him make a successful move into professional poker. He gained worldwide attention in 2021 when he reached the final table of the World Series of Poker Main Event.
Since then, Lococo has become a regular competitor in major poker tournaments, including the European Poker Tour, and joined PokerStars as a team ambassador. One of the biggest moments of his career came in December 2024, when he won the $1 million Triton Million Invitational in the Bahamas and earned more than $12 million in prize money. This result confirmed his place among the top players in modern poker.
