Charlie Hook biography
Charles "Charlie" Hook hails from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and has established himself as a legitimate threat in poker's highest-stakes tournament fields. Nearly all of his career earnings have come from the WSOP and its WSOP Paradise offshoot, where he has repeatedly gone deep against the toughest lineups the game has to offer.
His signature title came in 2025, when he won the $50,000 Pot-Limit Omaha event at WSOP Paradise for $1,456,000, capturing his first WSOP gold bracelet and demonstrating strong versatility beyond No-Limit Hold'em. He backed that up with a 5th-place finish worth $1,237,296 in the 2024 WSOP $250,000 No-Limit Hold'em event and a 14th-place cash for $520,000 in the 2025 WSOP Paradise $25,000 Super Main Event.
With career earnings surpassing $4.8 million – the vast majority of it earned at WSOP events – Hook has built a reputation as one of the more dangerous mid-volume high-rollers on the circuit.
