John Borzio biography
John Borzio is a poker player from Trenton, New Jersey, who has built a documented tournament career spanning the World Series of Poker and World Poker Tour. His signature result came in 2011, when he reached the final table of WSOP Event #56, a $1,500 no-limit hold'em event, and battled deep into the late stages of the tournament before being eliminated in fifth place for $184,561.
His elimination came in a dramatic hand at Level 29 with blinds of 40,000/80,000, when his ace-king lost to Hasan Anter's jack-nine after the board paired Anter's nine on a hand described by live reporters as the biggest pot of the night at that final table. With his exit, live coverage noted that no players named John remained at the table, reflecting how many competitors had shared his first name during that tournament's run.
