Samuli Sipilä biography
Samuli Sipila is a Finnish professional poker player who has built his reputation primarily as a pot-limit Omaha specialist, culminating in a dominant run through the 2024 PokerGO Tour PLO Series.
Over the course of the ten-tournament series, Sipila won two individual events outright and capped his performance with a runner-up finish in the season's marquee event, the $25,000 PLO Championship, worth $342,000, on his way to claiming the overall series championship worth $776,140 in bonus prize money alone, part of over $1 million in total cashes across the series.
His run came against a stacked field of competitors including fellow Finn Eelis Parssinen, who finished second overall, along with top American PLO specialists Seth Davies, Allan Le, Alex Foxen, and Dylan Weisman, with observers noting that Sipila "made it look easy" despite the caliber of the competition.
Rather than relying on a single signature score, Sipila's championship run was built on sustained excellence across the entire series, reinforcing his standing as one of the top pot-limit Omaha specialists in the world and one of Finland's leading modern poker exports.
