Annette Obrestad biography
Annette Obrestad was born on September 18, 1988, in Norway and became a phenomenon in online poker as a teenager under the screen name "Annette_15," building a reputation for hyper-aggressive, fearless play well before she was legally old enough to play in a casino.
She turned that online dominance into history on September 17, 2007 – the day before her 19th birthday – when she won the inaugural World Series of Poker Europe Main Event for roughly £1 million, becoming the youngest person ever to win a WSOP bracelet, a record that stood for years. She backed that up with a runner-up finish at EPT Dublin the same year and continued to rack up jaw-dropping online results, including once winning a 180-player sit-and-go entirely blind, without looking at her cards.
After a heavy run through the late 2000s and early 2010s, Obrestad gradually stepped back from full-time tournament poker. Since then she has reinvented herself publicly, running a popular YouTube beauty channel and, since 2022, competing seriously in Scrabble tournaments, where she ranks among the top 100 players in North America.
