Espen Jorstad biography
Espen Jorstad built a career as an online poker coach and streamer before capturing the biggest title in the game, winning the 2022 WSOP Main Event for $10,000,000 and defeating Australia's Adrian Attenborough heads-up in front of a global audience.
He entered the final day as chip leader and described using meditation techniques to manage the pressure, saying he focused on his breathing and "chilling in my zone" during the tournament's biggest moments, a mental approach he credited for helping him close out the win. The victory made him the first Norwegian player ever to win poker's most prestigious title, surpassing countryman Felix Stephensen, the 2014 runner-up, to become Norway's all-time leading money winner.
Jorstad has spoken about using his winnings to expand into the game's biggest high-roller events and to make outside investments in areas including cryptocurrency and technology stocks, signaling ambitions well beyond his historic Main Event run.
