Connor Drinan biography
Connor Drinan, known online by the alias "blanconegro," grew up in Arlington Heights, Illinois, and built his early reputation as one of the most feared players in high-stakes online cash games during poker's boom era. That foundation translated smoothly into live tournament success, highlighted by a 3rd-place finish worth $3,225,000 in the star-studded 2015 Poker Central Super High Roller Bowl and a title at EPT Barcelona's €10,300 event in 2016 for $959,596.
Drinan capitalized on the surge of online poker during 2020, winning a WSOP Online $10,000 No-Limit Hold'em event for $1.42 million and his first career WSOP gold bracelet, then added a second bracelet in October 2021 by winning a $1,500 Omaha Eight-or-Better event, demonstrating his versatility across multiple game formats.
Along the way, he became known for a memorable off-felt moment in 2018, when he was hospitalized after an arm-wrestling injury he wryly summarized on social media as "don't arm wrestle kids." With 173 career cashes, 12 WSOP final tables, and total earnings exceeding $13.7 million, Drinan remains one of the more complete and battle-tested players to emerge from the online-to-live poker generation.
