    Huck Seed biography

Huckleberry "Huck" Seed was born on January 15, 1969, in Santa Clara, California, and raised in Corvallis, Montana, where he played on the 1987 Montana All-State basketball team. An electrical engineering student at Caltech, he took a leave of absence in 1989 to pursue poker and never returned to finish his degree. He won the 1996 WSOP Main Event for $1,000,000, and went on to collect three more bracelets, including a memorable 2003 Razz title in which he defeated Phil Ivey heads-up.

Beyond the felt, Seed became a poker folk hero for his willingness to take on outlandish proposition bets, from living on a golf course for a year to walking from Los Angeles to San Francisco. He was inducted into the Poker Hall of Fame in 2020.
